Review
Comix ZoneSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Comix Zone is an impressive beat 'em up game featuring some great and fresh ideas. The main character of the game is a comic art designer named Sketch Turner. After a weird incident occurs when a storm hit New York City and a sudden lightning stroke Turner's house, one of his own comic's characters called Mortus comes to life and imprisons his very own creator (you). That leaves you lost somewhere inside the comic's pages, trying to beat up various enemies that block your way. That's a very odd and quite unique scenario. Changing levels, you jump and pass from one comic page to the other, while you see a hand the foes in real time.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics are fantastic and they make you feel as if you are inside a living and breathing comic book. A large number of colors is used and the comic sprites are greatly done! The game's sound is based on coin-op quality, digitized sound FX and a very solid electro-rock style music score. The whole presentation brings an action game based on a really unique formula that every Megadrive owner should give it a try, at least ones!
